- **Types**: The two main types are stripper clips and en bloc clips.
- **Stripper Clip**: Used to load cartridges into a firearm’s fixed magazine. They are typically used in bolt-action rifles.
- **En Bloc Clip**: Inserted into the firearm along with the ammunition. The M1 Garand rifle uses this type.
- **Function**: Clips are generally used to facilitate quick loading of magazines or internal magazines.
